Talk Abstract:
Firecomms is a developer of optical components for use with Plastic Optical Fiber (POF).
Customers include connector system and equipment vendors who provide products to the automotive, consumer electronics and industrial network markets.
Firecomms' 100Mbps Ethernet over POF products have been widely adopted for use in the emerging IPTV market in Europe.
A Gigabit development program is also underway and new products from this development will be released in Q3 2007.
This talk will describe the background to the Gigabit development and Firecomms' product plans in this area.
